1st Grade Homework

Dear First Grade Parents,    schoolhouse

First Grade is well under way! It will be a year filled with learning and fun!

In first grade homework is used to share our learning with you and to reinforce concepts already taught in class. At this level homework requires direct parental support. Students may need you to read and/or clarify directions for them.

Reading to and with your child is one the greatest gifts you can give! Listening to your child read aloud makes a world of difference. Please encourage your child to track (point) as s/he reads, ask her/him questions about what s/he has read, and simply cheer her/him on.

Thank you for your support!
