Writing

Personal Narrative Unit

We start our 4th-grade year by working on writing stamina as well as our Personal Narrative Unit. A personal narrative is a true story that is told from the perspective of the author. It has a sequence of events with a beginning, middle, and end. It also includes some dialogue and detailed descriptions of the setting or events.

Expectations for writing:

  • If you are not finished with your writing assignments for the week, you will use Friday to catch up, including “Fun Friday” time if needed
  • Forgot your writing at home? You will need to work on it online in class, using the digital packet found on google classroom
  • If you need to redo your writing for a specific lesson, complete that first before moving on to the next lesson. They all build off each other!
