Dear OLG Families,
Thanks to Heidi Ehrenberg, Erin Stampe and our Parent Org for coordinating this week’s Internet Safety Presentation. Stefanie Thomas does an excellent job, and I think those who attended went away better informed and feeling that the time was well spent. Stephanie agreed to share her handouts for those who wanted to review the information or weren’t able to attend.
The Office for Catholic Schools is conducting a marketing survey
survey to assist in planning marketing and outreach strategies. Please take a few minutes to complete it. When you click on the link, you will see two surveys. Please complete only the survey that corresponds to the grade of your youngest school-age child. Thank you!
Your feedback is valuable. Today, four of us from OLG School attended a fabulous and inspiring presentation by Heather Mansfield, from Nonprofit Tech for Good. It was practical and relevant, and we look forward to creating and beginning to implement a plan that fits OLG.
I hope to see you tomorrow for our annual Light Up the Night event!
We will have our school Feast Day Mass on Friday, December 11th at 9:00 am, followed by a reception in the Walmesley Center; please join us!

Each year I over estimate what I can accomplish during the last 3 months of the year. These months are filled with holidays, school events and colds. I forget how much stress, excitement and not feeling 100% well contribute to attention span, patience and general goofiness. So, this holiday, I give. I let classes just play. When the willingness and participation wane during the basketball unit, then I take three suggestion, classes vote and top game is played. They play, move, have fun and the time passes by quickly. Everyone leaves with smiles, sweaty brows and ready to sit in the classroom and learn.
Please give in during this hectic time. Go play, laugh, get sweaty with your children. Stop, watch a good old Christmas movie and play board games. Enjoy the moment, forget the million other things that must be done for Christmas and savor the one you are in. Enjoy your children, enjoy their enthusiasm. I wish you a joyful holiday!

For the O’Keefe family – Linda, Conner, and Lauren, as they grieve the loss of their husband and father, Tony O’Keefe. May they find peace and comfort and be wrapped in the love of their OLG community.
Our Lady of Guadalupe School & Parish acknowledges that we are on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe.
