2016 OLG Auction Preview
2016 OLG Auction Preview
When we return to school on Tuesday, we will take up our Lenten tradition of gathering in the upper and lower hallways to begin our week by praying together. Our Lenten prayers will focus on the rosary and will conclude with reflection questions for all of us to carry in our hearts, and challenge us in our lives, as we move through the week. If you are in the building at the very beginning of the day (Tuesday next week, but otherwise Mondays), you are most welcome to join us!
Have a wonderful Presidents’ Day weekend!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

Pastoral Assistant for Outreach
Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Speaker: Thomas Awiapo from Ghana
A snack saved his life.  Now he’s dedicated himself to saving the lives of others. Orphaned before the age of ten, Thomas survived poverty and hunger in a small villlage in Ghana with the help of a CRS Food for Education program.  Now, Thomas works for CRS, training community leaders in his home country and traveling

through the United States sharing his story.  Meet Thomas Awiapo of CRS Ghana on Wednesday, March 2nd from noon – 1:00 pm at the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Isaac Orr Conference Center: 910 Marion St, Seattle.  A complimentary lunch will be served.  Please RSVP to the Missions Office by February 25th: 206-382-4580.

Drivers Needed: Deliver Food to Local Homeless Shelter
We are looking for a couple of drivers to add to our team.  The likely commitment would be about 1 hour/month.  Request: a willing, helpful soul to pick up food from a local restaurant and deliver to St. Martin de Porres Homeless Shelter on Sunday nights.  This would be a shared responsibility with two other people and take approximately an our to pick up and deliver the food and return home to West Seattle.  Typically 10 to 15 containers of food ( 12x20x3″) are donated by the restaurant each week to the shelter.  Please contact Joan Bateman, (206) 938-0851, if you have an interest in participating.
