Fundraising Overview

Our Lady of Guadalupe School is committed to providing an excellent Catholic education, while keeping tuition affordable. Tuition and fees comprise approximately 78% of the school budget. The gap between revenue from tuition and fees and the actual cost of educating our students is bridged through fundraising and subsidy from OLG parish.

Our Parent Organization runs a variety of fundraisers that, combined, bring in $125,000 for school operating expenses, including up-to-date instructional materials, building on our robust technology program, and maintaining facilities that serve the needs of our students for academics, physical education, and instruction in the arts. These fundraisers include a fall fundraiser, an annual auction, and a spring jog-a-thon.

Supporters of OLG School have two opportunities each year to invest in programs and initiatives that fall outside of the general operating budget. One of these is the special auction fund-an-item. Through the years, this has provided funding for math enrichment and support, iPads, the school play structure, curriculum enhancements, launching an art program, and much more.

In addition, the School Annual Fund Drive supports four areas of school life: tuition assistance; teacher professional development; a contribution to the school endowment to ensure a vibrant future; and an innovative program or facilities project each year. These special projects have included: an update to our Langen Library and Learning Lab; a new sound system for the Walmesley Center and Gymnasium; a designated middle school science lab; a seismic upgrade for the school building; creation of OLG’s Service Stewardship Program; start-up costs for our preschool/pre-k program and more!
