Dear OLG Families,
Lion King Encore Performance:
Theatre and Picnic in the Gym!
Did you miss Our Lady of Guadalupe’s performance of Disney’s “The Lion King” (Kids)? Did you see it and love it so much you wish you could watch it one more time? Well, okay! Our OLG graduates are excited to announce an encore performance of their musical at 7 pm on Saturday, June 3, right after the 5:30 Mass. There will be open space on the floor if you’d like to bring a blanket with snacks and sandwiches. Chairs and tables will be set up for our older community members. The show lasts only 40 minutes with no intermission. No admission, but donations are appreciated and will go toward the school’s theatre and arts program. The Class of 2017 and Mr. Santos would love to see you there!
Thank you!
Thanks to our Parent Org representatives who helped us welcome an incredible group of new OLG families last Thursday. Your hospitality, enthusiasm, and informative presentations made it a great entry event into the OLG community.
Festival of the Bands
Last week’s Festival of the Bands at Kennedy Catholic High School was so impressive. Miss McKamey never ceases to amaze us with her skill in pulling students from all of her “band schools” together to make beautiful music! The students have grown so much as musicians this year!

Jog-a-thon Pledge Payments
Our Jog-a-thon chairs have been busy wrapping up this year’s event. If you have an outstanding pledge, please help them out by taking care of that by June 1st. Jog-a-thon payments may be made by check or online. Thank you!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

EDC Highlights
It has been a great year in EDC. It has been fun watching the growth of the children from the beginning of the school year to now as the end of the school year approaches. Some of the activities that the children have enjoyed have been sewing, dyeing eggs, and making and decorating cookies. We also have some very creative children as they create and do their own projects.
The main thing kids like to do in EDC is being active with large motor activities whether its playing tag, or with hula-hoops, four square or going outside or to the gym. Here are some things that our OLG kids like about EDC:
“To hang out with kids that are not your age”- Justin A.
“Playing on the x-box”- Luca M.
“Access to computers for homework”- Cooper C.
“Playing with my friends”- Gabbi S.
“The memories that are made here” – Ava L.
“Playing games”- Gresham C.
“Playing two square”- Rachael C.
“Playing with the balls”- Carlos R.
“Playing two square or four square”- Nathan W.
“It’s fun”- Diana G.
“It’s peaceful”- Alex G.
I would like to say thanks to Laura Wong for all of her organization that she has done. I would like to thank Lucy for here creative art ideas as well as her creative snack inventions! (- Kimmy)
Have a great summer,
Kimmy, Laura & Lucy
