November 5th Newsletter
November 5, 2015
Dear OLG Families,This morning, as we gathered in church for our November all-school Mass, we were greeted by our very own third grade “saints,” dressed in the attire of their chosen saints, and filled with enthusiasm for the stories they have learned. They have been busy preparing and sharing saint presentations in class – and their confidence, speaking skills, and sense of joy are so wonderful! Ms. Savio prepared them so well to bring the saints to life in our liturgy, and Fr. Jack challenged us to be saints in the world today, sharing the light of Christ’s love. Ann Sager and the chorus made it a real celebration as they led us in song!
Please read the post about updating your parish stewardship commitment for 2016. Take care of it today, and take a moment to check that you are on track to fulfill this year’s commitment! Your support is vital to the ongoing ministries of our parish.
You’ll notice that most of this week’s newsletter has a slightly different format. The data we receive from Constant Contact shows that the majority of our families are reading emails and newsletters from OLG on mobile devices. We’re experimenting with a shorter format, with the opportunity to click to read the full articles. There’s so much happening that we hope you will! Please feel free to share your feedback.

Mateo Messina’s 18th Annual Benefit Concert for Seattle Children’s Hospital
Mateo Messina, a Grammy winning composer and OLG alum will be performing his annual benefit concert at Benaroya Hll on Friday, November 6th, 2015. The symphony of “Firelight” will feature choirs, dancers, Seattle rockers Sweetwater, and lots of unexpected fun. This is not your typical symphony – each year’s performance is different and filled with surprises. Whether it’s famous musicians backed by a full symphony, a marching band coming down the center aisle, or a full audience Neil Diamond sing-a-long, these evenings are one-of-a-kind and not to be missed.
