Students in grades 1-5 are referred for help in reading, math, and/or writing and are paired with a tutor to work on Wednesdays from 2:15-3:00. Tutors are often middle-school students; we have a few adult tutors as well.
This is a skill-building program, in which students can work on skills that will ultimately help them succeed in classroom work, with the exception of students needing help in 4th and 5th grade math. Often for those students, the best place to begin is with homework.
