Wednesday August 15th – PO Kickoff meeting 6:30 PM Math Lab. All are welcome!
Buy tickets and drop off student artwork at school supply drop off night August 29th.
In addition to featured art by talented local artists and OLG children, the event will also include the heavenly sounds of the Garfield High School Jazz quartet, a tintype artist/ photographer capturing images throughout the evening, beer, wine & appetizers. Please note this is an adults only event.
If your child would like to submit art (by August 29th), but haven’t had a moment this summer to work on it, we are having Open Studio Hours
at OLG School. We will have limited Art Supplies available but please bring the bulk of your child’s medium and canvas / paper. Please also have your child come with a plan for their creation. As a reminder, we have offered a theme of “inclusion” with a maximum artwork size of 12”x12”. Please let Veronica Foster
know if you plan to attend an open studio (and which one) so we can plan accordingly.

|Halloween Beer & Brats – Saturday, October 20th
Halloween Carnival – Saturday, October 27th
Exciting news on the Halloween Carnival front! While sadly there will again be no beer garden at this year’s Carnival, parents will be able to buy tickets to a new Carnival pre-funk event, “Beers & Brats.” On Saturday, Oct. 20, parent volunteers from the first-grade class will be grilling up dogs, pouring frothy brews, and welcoming both veteran parents and those brand new back to school for another great year at OLG. More details to come, but word is this Octoberfest-themed party will include polka music, mini-pumpkin carving, a cornhole tourney, and a not-so-quiet place to fill out those pesky Halloween Grams – and actually turn them in this year!
