Seeking Extra Decorations and Prizes!

Do you have extra decorations busting out of your Halloween bin? Or unopened prizes from goodie bags you’re ready to unload? If so, check out our Carnival Wishlist to donate (or loan) any items on this list. It will be super helpful! Place items in the box at the entrance lobby at the school ASAP/no later than Wednesday 10/23. If it’s a loan, label it so we can get it back to you. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this an OLG-only event?
A: Our beloved Carnival is an all-ages school and community event open to all school families (present and past), parishioners, neighbors, friends, and family. Round up a squad and we’d love to see you there!

Q: Will there be food & beverages available for purchase?
A: Yes! We’ll have baked potatoes, hot dogs, chili, cotton candy, churros, soft drinks, chips and more. Every dollar earned at the concessions goes toward our 8th-grade class’ graduation gift to the school in the spring. Thank you in advance for coming hungry!

Q: What will be served in the Oktoberfest Tent?
A: Carnival-goers 21+ will have the option to responsibly enjoy Georgetown Brewing beer, a variety of Schilling Ciders, wine, and non-alcoholic options, too.

Q: What if the weather is terrible?
A: This is a rain or shine event. Between the gym, lobby, stage, and big outside tents, we’ll have fun no matter what. But let’s all pray for sunshine!

Q: How scary is the Haunted House?
A: There are jump scares (thanks volunteers!) and lots of creepy decorations, but nothing too crazy, of course! If anyone feels nervous, just request “no jump scares” at the beginning. Also note there are two “sides” of the Haunted House. The first is less scary and there’s an exit at the end if someone does not want to continue.

Q: Are you taking credit cards or cash on-site?
A: Both! However, in the past lines have gotten long. We recommend getting tickets and wristbands ahead of time to pick up at will call so your family can enjoy as much of the Carnival as possible. If you plan on using cash, we suggest bringing small bills ($1s/$5s).

Q: What’s included with admission? Do parents need a wristband?
A:  Admission gives kids unlimited access to outdoor inflatables and inside carnival games & prizes. The specialty “extras” are Cake Walk (1 ticket per walk) and Haunted House (2 tickets per turn). There is no charge for adults or kids under two. Here’s a helpful guide on what’s included with wristbands.
