Get ready for the 2026 OLG Jog-A-Thon!

Get ready to run, walk, cheer, and celebrate! The OLG Jog-A-Thon is our first big fundraiser of the school year and a fun, school-wide tradition that brings together students, families, and our community.

Every student from Preschool through 8th Grade will participate by walking or running laps around Walt Hundley Playfield while raising money to support the teachers, programs, and experiences that make OLG special.

There are lots of ways to get involved!

For those new to OLG, the Jog-A-Thon is a fun way for the kids to get moving and raise money for the school! On Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, every student will participate with their class in either walking or running laps at Walt Hundley Playfield.  Each family is encouraged to raise $300 to meet our goal.

The theme this year is ‘Wildly United at OLG’
Students should be pumped up and wear clothes & shoes appropriate for running / weather.  Dress for the theme is optional.  Reminder: Noon Dismissal – they will be ready for down time.

Attire: 

Runners are encouraged to wear Jog-a-thon t-shirts (if purchased). We still have some extra shirts if you would like to purchase. Please reach out to Rachel or Victoria.  T-shirt order form

As the theme is ‘wildly united at OLG’, we also encourage animal costumes! For example animal ears, tails, animal print pants or shorts.

Please note – costumes must not inhibit runners (no inflatables!) and must be school appropriate.

Volunteer at the Jog-A-Thon!:

We need LOTS of parent volunteers to help make the day a success!

Sign up to Volunteer!

Important:  All volunteers must have current Safe Environment / Virtus training.  Please complete or renew your training several weeks before Sept. 25th.

Help with:

  • Lap counting
  • Set-up
  • Clean-up
  • Bring orange slices
  • Half time entertainers
  • Cheer on students

Prizes*:

  • – Class that collectively raises that most = pizza party!
  • – Individual with most laps – 2nd through 7th grade = West Seattle Bowl voucher
  • – Individual with most laps – preschool through 1st grade = The Little Gym voucher
  • – Parent half-time race winner = Cafe Ladro voucher
