Lauren Hobbs is Principal at Our Lady of Guadalupe School, where she has served in a variety of roles, including teacher, for thirteen years. She has served as an educator in Catholic education for eighteen years, teaching in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and now in the Archdiocese of Seattle since 2013. Lauren holds a Masters of Education from Loyola Marymount University, and is a member of the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame, where she is working to complete a Masters in Educational Leadership, graduating in summer 2026.  Ms. Hobbs worked for many years as the Missionary Discipleship Companion, developing, writing and directing curriculum and instruction for the Archdiocese’s Missionary Discipleship Institute; fostering our call to be the hands and feet of Christ in our communities. Lauren is a servant leader and dedicated to mission, Catholic identity and social justice; forming disciples with hope to bring in her work at OLG, and within the Catholic education world.

OLG is not just where I work; it is my home. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving our community as a fellow parishioner, experiencing the magic of OLG firsthand as the proud parent of an OLG graduate, shepherding young Guadalupan as a first-grade teacher, and working closely with many of our children as our Learning Support Specialist. Since my heart is so deeply invested in our students’ diverse learning needs, I will continue overseeing our tiered support services and providing targeted math support for our 1st–5th graders alongside my new leadership duties.

Being a part of  the inner-workings at OLG and getting to know your children first hand has been incredibly rewarding. I get to play, be inspired by boundless creativity and energy, practice patience, and be reminded of mindfulness, humility, and forgiveness. I am blessed to share a role in your child’s joyful lives.  My daughter is a proud graduate of 2019.

I am honored to serve as the new Development and Marketing director at OLG. Originally from Austin, TX, I have had the privilege of living in various places across the country and overseas, gaining a wealth of experience and perspective along the way.

I have been happily married for 22 years to Ernesto “Ernie”, a retired Navy Chief who currently works at Starbucks HQ.  We have four wonderful children, all whom graduated from OLG. Our oldest son Isaac is graduating from College of the Holy Cross this year, while our son, Miles, is in his second-year at University of Chicago Loyola. Our twin daughters Stella and Lucia, are seniors at Seattle Prep. We have called West Seattle home for the past 15 years and have been active members of the OLG community throughout. In addition to my professional background in sales, marketing, PR, and social media, I am a proud member of the Starry Crowns singing group. Our family remains deeply engaged in the church and school, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this special community. I look forward to meeting and working with many wonderful families at OLG and continuing the mission of promoting our school’s unique qualities. Together, we will work toward reaching our fundraising goals, ensuring the ongoing success and vibrancy of Our Lady of Guadalupe School.
