Special Persons Day

At Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of our favorite times of the year is when we gather together to give thanks for the special people in our lives, who help us be our best selves, and who work with us to make the world a place full of God’s love.

As is tradition, students are invited to bring a “special person” – a grandparent or other relative, or a family friend, to join us for this day of thanks, community and celebration. Parents are always welcome to attend as well. Special Persons’ Day is an opportunity for those special people in our students’ lives to celebrate Mass together, spend time with their students in their classroom, enjoy lunch or breakfast together, and get to know their school, teachers and friends. Each class also creates a meaningful activity to do with our guests while many moments are captured in pictures that will serve as very special memories of the day.
