What is VIRTUS?
VIRTUS is the brand name that identifies best practices programs designed to help prevent wrongdoing and promote “right doing” within organizations. The VIRTUS programs empower organizations and people to better control risk and improve the lives of all those who interact with minors and vulnerable adults.
What does the program entail?
VIRTUS includes online training as well as tracking for Safe Environment compliance. It provides a convenient way for participants to register, read and sign Volunteer Safe Environment policies online, fill out information for a criminal background check, and register for a Safe Environment class. You can learn more about the VIRTUS Programs here.
For a class list and to register for Protecting God’s Children training, log in (or click First-Time Registrant) on the VIRTUS website. Click on the Training tab, then Live Training, Pre-register for an upcoming live training to find classes in the area. At this time all classes are via Zoom.
You will be notified by VIRTUS when it is time to renew your background check and/or take an online refresher course, which is required every three years. You can also log in to VIRTUS to see if additional training is required.
