This year we are Running in the Light

On Friday, May 3rd, 2019 our OLG students will be “Running in the Light…” as a part of our last big fundraiser of the year!

Pledge forms are in your child’s hand.  It’s time to ask friends, grandparents, neighbors and family to pledge a “per-lap” challenge or a flat dollar amount for your runner.  If every runner can raise $150 in flat donations or a minimum of $7 per lap, we will make our goal of $30,000! All pledges are 100% tax deductible. Pledges are due the morning of the Jog-A-Thon, Friday, May 3rd!


IMPORTANT DATES for 2019 Jog-A-Thon:

Thursday, April 4 – Kickoff & Pledge forms come home (1 per child)

April 4 – May 3   GET PLEDGES!

Friday, May 3 – Pledge forms due by 9 a.m….  No form = No prize

Friday, May 3 –  Jog-A-Thon

Monday, May 6 – Invoices returned to runners

Friday, May 17 – All money due (pay online or by check).


Use the website!  Super easy!  This is the preferred method of pledge collections and for paying invoices at the end of the event.  Send the link to out of town friends and family.  Be sure to enter online donations on to your pledge sheets as well. Remember to please have children be safe when asking neighbors.

  1. Click: Sign In (use same name & password as auction/ordering pizza)
    New users can quickly and easily create an account
  2. Click: Jog-A-Thon, Make A Donation (or simply CASH Donation in top bar)
  3. Choose: Donation Type – search by Family Last Name,  Enter donation amount.
  4. Choose: Payment Method
  5. Click: Donate Now button… you are done!
    Pay & Print your 100% tax deductible receipt. You will also receive an email receipt.

If paying by check, simply make check payable to OLG.

We’ve got some great incentives along the way to help kids meet the end goal of $150 in flat donations or $7 totals per lap.

Students who raise $100 in flat donations or at least $5 totals per lap will earn a light up, flashing bouncy ball. To redeem your prize, simply send an email or signed note to your child’s teacher or the school office. Prizes awarded daily! Hang onto your pledge sheets, keep gathering pledges, and turn in the final tally on May 3rd!

Students who meet the $150 total goal (or $7 totals/lap) get their very own light up magnetic gyro wheel!

Other prizes await on event day for every pledge form turned-in, highest dollar amount collected, most laps run, tops runners in each class and most spirited class!

The Running in the Light Jog-A-Thon is a themed dress day. Along with their teacher, each grade will be choosing how they will represent the Running in the Light theme on Jog-A-Thon day. Stay tuned for more information from your child’s teacher about day of attire, and win the Most Spirited Class award!
