Dear Families,
The time has come for Catholic Schools’ Week, with a noon dismissal tomorrow (EDC open until 6!), and Open House from 10-1pm on Sunday with 11am Mass in between! It is an exciting and eventful time on campus, and we cannot wait to celebrate Catholic Schools’ Week with all of you!
This week, we focus on what makes Catholic education and OLG special. For me, Catholic education is about forming the whole person in a rich relationship founded on a connection to Christ, to prayer and to stewardship, and to one another. Catholic education allows us to openly talk about God in our classrooms, apply life lessons linked to the Catholic Social Teaching, and helps us to establish a place where students, families and staff can grow as lifelong learners, knowing that they are engulfed in the love of God, and never walk alone. Catholic education is all about forming people in mind, body, heart and spirit, not just in academic knowledge alone.
