Chorus at Mariners 3/31

Hello, Chorus Parents!

WHAT. A. YEAR. for our 4th/5th Chorus!  First the Seahawks, now we get to sing the National Anthem for the Mariners‘ Opening Weekend!  I sent Audition Recordings to the M’s in 2016 and 2017 but I think we may have had an edge this year because I sent this video — not just audio — and I mentioned that we’d recently sung for the Seahawks.  Name drop!

CHAPERONES:  I will definitely need Chaperones for the day, as well.  It’s gonna be a heck of a day, so I may try to incentivize you to be a Chaperone.

TICKETS:

VIEW LEVEL TICKETS (normally $35-55) = $13 for Singers and Parents of singers$20 for everyone else.  I will make our group-ticket purchase on 3/16 and then distribute the physical tickets as quickly as possible.  If you want to sit near another family, please indicate that on your Order Form.

MAIN LEVEL TICKETS (normally $58-140) = $31 for everyone BUT ONLY IF we purchase at least a block of 20.  If any of you form a group of 20 for the Main Level, let me know!

GAME DAY time frame for Saturday, 3/31/2018 (subject to changes/updates):

  • TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, ALL SINGERS MUST ATTEND THE 9:15AM REHEARSAL.
  • 8:45am – Chaperones and Singers meet at OLG, transport kids to Safeco.
  • 9:15am – All Singers + Chaperones meet at Safeco doors
  • 9:30am – Rehearsal on the field for 15-30 minutes
  • 10am – Escorted out of the stadium.  We have to kill an hour or so at the Team Shop, or looking at statues, or having lunch (who would take us? or Bag Lunches), or other (ideas?).
  • 11:10am – Gates open, we may enter now with our own tickets or spend time walking around the stadium, watching batting practice, having lunch at our seats (how much is a hot dog + pop?  $20 per kid?  Eek), or other…?
  • 12:30 or so – Singers and Chaperones meet at designated place in preparation for National Anthem.
  • 1:10pm – SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM!
  • 1:20pm – Return to seats, watch game!  Many kids join their families for the duration of the game.  (Some kids go home?)
  • 4th Inning – Cheer for OLG School Chorus recognition up on the JUMBO-TRON!  (Some kids go home?)
  • End of game – Chaperones take kids back to OLG for pickup.

Happy to field input.  The logistics are more difficult than the Seahawks Day and I would love to hear your ideas.

Go M’s!

Ms. Ann Sager
