School Family EDC Details

The Extended Day Care Program (EDC) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School provides students in grades K-8, a caring and safe environment before and after the school day.  For an overview about the program, click here.

Annual Enrollment


Morning EDC 

  • Morning EDC is drop in.  No need to sign up for each day.
  • Drop off at the School Hall on 34th Ave SW
  • Morning care is offered 7:00 am to 8:15 am.
  • By 8:30 am, students will be escorted from EDC to school to start their day.

Afternoon EDC Sign Up

  • Afternoon care is offered from the end of the school day until 6:00 pm.  (Day camp (on some no school days) may have a shorter hours).
  • Pick up is typically at the School Hall on 34th Ave SW.  A sign will be on the door if students are outside or in the gym.
  • Monthly Sign up Link: Families are required to register their students each month for the specific afternoon dates they expect to attend EDC.
    • Only sign up for dates your child will attend.
    • If your plans change, update the sign up genius by noon on that day so spots are available for others. If your child is signed up, but does not attend, you will be charged $25 for each occurrence.  How to Edit or Delete a Sign up
    • Families who attend afternoon EDC but did not use the SignUpGenius will be charged $25 per occurrence.
    • Sign up full? Contact Mrs. Janet, or call the front office 206-935-0651 to be added to the waitlist.  We will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • Please inform your child as well as your child’s homeroom teacher of the dates he/she is expected to attend afternoon EDC

Drop Off / Pick Up

  • Morning EDC Drop Off will be at the School Hall on 34th Ave SW starting at 7:00 am.
  • Afternoon Pick up will be from the School Hall on 34th Ave SW (school’s lower level).  A sign will be on the School Hall door if students are outside or in the gym.  Typically, EDC will be moved to the school gym or outside on Wednesday and Thursday until 4:00 pm. Add Tuesday at the gym from November to Spring Break.
  • Late charges will apply after 6:00 pm.

Late School Pick Ups

If you find you are unable to pick up your child from school on time, your child will be escorted to EDC.  Pick up is in the School Hall located on 34th Ave SW (school’s lower level).


CYO Athletes

For CYO athletes, their coach may pick up your child from EDC.  Please check with your child’s coach if this pick up can be arranged. If so, the following needs to be completed by parent/guardian:

  1. Communicate with your child’s coach to pick up your child at EDC
  2. Communicate with EDC in writing by using this release form.
  3. Communicate with your child with the expectation that they can dress themselves.

For younger children, we suggest communicating with the homeroom teacher so they have the information to reassure your child if questions come up.

Hours of Operation

  • Morning EDC hours are from 7:00 am to 8:15 am.  Your children will be escorted directly to school from EDC.
  • Afternoon EDC hours are from  3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
    • On Wednesdays, afternoon EDC begins at 2:15pm due to weekly early dismissal. EDC will be charged starting at 2:15 pm.

Check the online calendar, weekly newsletters (check your email), and the monthly sign up link (see here), to confirm days EDC is open.  In case of inclement weather, the program will follow the schedule for late start.

Fees

For more information about EDC rates and options, please review the rate structure on this school year’s Registration Policy.

  • An annual EDC registration fee of $30 per family will be applied to your Finalsite account.
  • The rate for the 2025-2026 school year is $8.50 per hour.
  • The rate for the 2026-2027 school year is $9.00 per hour.
  • After the first hour, time is broken down into 30-minute increments with a five-minute grace period, for example:
    • 3:00-3:45 = 1 hour
    • 3:00-4:30 = 1.5 hours
    • 3:00-4:35 = 1.5 hours
  • A fee of $1 per minute per child after 6:00pm will be added to your monthly statement.

Monthly Invoices

Monthly invoices will be issued the end of the month in your Finalsite account reflecting the prior month’s balance.   The amount due will be automatically processed with your next FinalSite payment cycle (typically the 5th of the month).  If payment is not received by the due date, late fees may be assessed).
