As part of OLG’s on-going commitment to providing the best learning tools and environment possible, students have access to digital components of our math and language arts curriculum. They also have access to leading virtual online math programs for elementary students.
Math
Students have access to the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Learning Platform (HMH Ed)). HMH Ed is an online learning system that combines the best of technology, content, and instruction to personalize the learning experience and provide access to interactive activities, assessments, and more. Will will be utilizing our updated Math in Focus Curriculum and Waggle on this platform. Waggle is web-based adaptive, personalized program that provides guided practice, instruction, and ongoing formative assessment that correlates directly to Math in Focus. As students work through assigned content they earn points to play games.
Waggle is an online program that provides individualized and targeted self-study math instruction using a combination of direct instruction, adaptive exercises, game-based drill, a gamified learning environment, quizzes and more, all while allowing parents to monitor student progress and development via a digital dashboard. The suite is made up of three core elements that work together to drive math progress in students. These include: a) Their award-winning AI Driven Tutor; b) In-depth assessment and reporting tools; and c) A bank of high-quality resources. This program aligns with our Math In Focus curriculum, and enable us to provide more support and enrichment for our range of math learners.
XtraMath:
An online math fact fluency program that helps students develop quick recall and automaticity of basic math facts. Fact fluency enables students to access more complex concepts without being held back by lack computation skills. Students with a strong foundation have greater confidence and success learning more advanced math like fractions and algebra.
Language Arts
Students have access to the McGraw Hill Education Platform (mheducation.com). This online learning system houses all the digital components of the K-5 language arts curriculum, Wonders. The platform utilizes the best technology to deliver content, and instruction and provides opportunity to personalize the learning experience through access to interactive activities, assessments, and more.
