Today is the first Thursday of Lent, and a time where we begin to prepare for Christ’s greatest sacrifice, death on the cross because He loves us so much. During Lent, we journey with Christ to the cross, spending time in the deserts of our own lives, and focus on ways in which we can transform our lives to grow closer to God. As Catholics globally, we look at doing this through the three pillars of Lent: Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. In what ways can we give more generously, remove what hinders our relationship with God and one another, and pray more openly in conversation with God?
