Dear OLG Families,
Happy Veterans’ Day weekend! Here in November we honor our saints in our lives, including all those who serve our country! Our 4th grade class led the school in our assembly today. Veteran (and 42 year member of OLG Parish) Bill Dwyer stands with our guest speakers Tiffany Bothell (Iraq Vet) & Bruce Kilian (Vietnam Vet & grandfather of current 2nd & 4th grade OLG students). The 4th Grade Class Service project also entailed collecting Treats for Troops! Together we collected over 100 lbs of Halloween candy, delivering a sweet treat to Veterans and active duty military who can not be with their families for the holiday. Thank you all for your candy donations—as hard as they are to part with for some kiddos—they are sure to be appreciated 🙂
