Schoolwide Volunteering Opportunities

There are so many options to choose from!

School Parent? Get a jump start on your required volunteer hours for the upcoming school year!

 

School Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Playground/Recess Monitors – Sign up for Recess Monitor – This is a great way to satisfy your volunteer hours and see your child at play! Monday to Friday from 9:40 to 10:20 am or 10:55 am to 12:05 pm. We need help Mon, Wed, Fri 9:40-10:20am and Mon, Fri 11am-12pm.  Pick a day of the week and sign up each week!
  • After School Tutors.  We need Adult Volunteers on Wednesdays 2:15-3:00pm to monitor and or be an after school tutor. If you are interested please contact Heather Owens, After School Tutoring Coordinator.
  • Post student artwork in the hallways
  • Pack up/ take donations.  Right now we have lots of primary grade school books and lost and found items that are ready to donate!
  • Sort Lost and Found.  Match names to grades and return items to students.  Fold, neaten area.  A few times per month works fine.  Occasionally we box up remaining items and donate.
  • Assist with late slips 8:30-8:45am
  • School Office Support
  • Classroom Aide
  • Adopt-A-Pot – Take care of the plants and pots around campus
  • Middle School Lab Assistant
  • Library Assistant

Sports:


Remote:

  • Free childcare for a school family (so that they can volunteer)
  • Classroom Book Orders
  • Take-home work from teachers
  • Safe Environment (VIRTUS) Trainer:  Be the OLG trainer to teach OLG families about the Protecting God’s Children class. This is a co-facilitator opportunity or back up. There is a training session coming up the end of October. Contact Sandy if you are interested!

Extra-Curricular:

  • Planning and managing extra curricular activities
