Welcome! My name is Marie Fuchs (Ms. Fuchs) and I teach 4th Grade at OLG. I have worked with younger humans as an Environmental Educator, Tutor, and Camp Counselor for several years before I started teaching full time. These jobs helped me realize that it was my passion to teach elementary aged children by helping them grow and develop a love for learning.
After student teaching for 2 years and teaching 5th grade for the past year, I have realized that upper elementary is my favorite!
In May of 2020, I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Elementary Education. However, I recently realized that I am ready for another challenge, so began pursuing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at WGU in the summer of 2021.
When I am not teaching or taking classes, you can find me knitting, training my cats, cooking, hiking or kayaking. I am excited to be a part of the OLG Community!
