Dear OLG Families,

Another beautiful week has passed us by.  Since I’ve written last I’ve experienced a principals retreat, directed our first fire drill, our first student council elections, attended my first Parent Org meeting and first Auction meeting.  What amazing families we have!  Each day I seem to give out more piggy pals to the students for their sales in the Charleston Wrap (final weekend…ends Monday, Oct 2nd), and its because of you and your support.  Thank you!  The Parent Org and Auction meetings were full of parents who are working hard to make OLG the best it can be!  If your hands and feet are still sitting still then read below, call the office, or talk to a friend who can help you find a place where your talents can be best utilized.

This past week I was on retreat with all the other principals in the Archdiocese of Western Washington.  We reflected on four Mysteries of our faith: the Trinity, thePaschal Mystery, the Incarnation, and the Eucharist.  I’ll be sharing this experience with all our staff on next Friday’s (10/6) inservice day.  Today I share with you a moment of our school that echoes the Paschal Mystery, the dying and rising of Christ.
The school year is full of these moments that teach us about dying and rising.  You may wonder why this is a picture of student council members giving their speeches, but the old student council is gone, and here we see the new student council rising to life.

We were fortunate to have thirteen fantastic student leaders from grades 6, 7, and 8, who ran for five different offices. Each student wrote and presented well-rehearsed, informative and, at times, entertaining speeches as to what made them an ideal candidate for the position that they were running for. It is with admiration for these candidates that we share the results with the Guadalupe community today. Congratulations to all!

Do you know if your FACTS account is set up to auto-pay incidental expenses (band, EDC, milk, etc)?

When you set up your account in FACTS, you had the option to select auto-pay for incidental expenses.  If you did NOT set up your account to auto-pay incidental expenses, the expense will NOT be automatically paid when due (like tuition).  You will need to authorize payment for each incidental expense invoice before the due date or you will be assessed a late fee.  Sorry, there is no grace period.

Please check your FACTS setup and make sure you are aware how your account is set up to pay incidentals.  Incidental expenses are now being billed in FACTS – invoices will be emailed.  You can also log in to your FACTS account.

To make a payment, log in to FACTS and choose Make a Payment.  Or, call FACTS 24/7 at 1-866-441-4637 with your FACTS customer number.
To enroll in auto-pay for incidental invoices, log in to your FACTS account.  Choose the Action button next to Incidental Expenses and choose Enroll in Auto Pay.  To agree to the auto pay option, click Enroll.
